Abbie Persall, MA, PPS
Abbie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development from the University of California, Riverside, and a Master of Arts in Special Education from Azusa Pacific University. She also holds a Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPSC) and a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential through the University of Redlands, reflecting her background in both educational support services and classroom instruction. In addition, Abbie is a certified Mindfulness teacher through Mindful Schools and a registered Yoga instructor through Yoga Alliance.
Abbie brings experience supporting teens, young adults, and families through her work in school-based settings as both a counselor and educator. She has provided one-on-one counseling, facilitated small groups focused on emotional regulation and social skills, and partnered closely with parents to support the broader family system. Throughout her work, she integrates mindfulness practices to help individuals build resilience, self-awareness, and effective coping tools.
Drawn to the mental health field through both her personal experiences and her work with students, Abbie has long felt a natural pull toward supporting others. She was especially drawn to Wonder’s whole-person, relational approach, which aligns with her belief that meaningful growth and healing happen through authentic human connection and meeting individuals and families where they are.
Abbie takes a client-centered, strengths-based approach, integrating mindfulness and social-emotional tools to support self-awareness, emotional regulation, and connection. She prioritizes building trust as the foundation for growth, bringing a calm, grounded, and compassionate presence that helps clients feel seen, heard, and supported.
Her areas of focus include emotional regulation, anxiety, self-esteem, and social challenges in youth and their families. Abbie is passionate about helping individuals strengthen their connection with themselves while fostering more connected, supportive family relationships. She also works closely with parents, offering guidance, reflection, and practical tools to help them feel more confident and connected in their role. She views parenting as both a journey of supporting a child and an opportunity for self-discovery and growth.
As a mother of two and a proud grandmother of five, family is at the center of Abbie’s life. She enjoys spending time with her partner, hiking, reading, practicing yoga, and incorporating mindfulness into her daily routine. She also loves being outdoors and spending time with her dog, Coda.
Abbie values presence, connection, and creating a sense of safety in her work. She understands that life—and parenting—can be challenging, and she strives to be a soft landing place where families can take a breath, feel supported, and begin again.
