Addison Kay, MSW Candidate, BA

Addison is currently pursuing his Master’s in Social Work at Boston College and brings a strong foundation in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to his work with teens and young adults. He previously worked at McLean Hospital’s adolescent DBT residential program (3East) and now supports clients at a DBTIntensive Psychiatric Day Program (DBTWorks) in Concord, MA. In this role, he leads DBT groups, provides crisis coaching, and collaborates with the clinical team to develop effective behavior plans.

Addison is also the co-author of The DBT Skills Workbook for Teens With BPD (in press), a resource aimed at making evidence-based skills more accessible to young people navigating complex emotional experiences. He is passionate about supporting individuals with borderline personality disorder, with a special interest in working with trans youth and those living with chronic pain.

Before stepping into clinical roles, Addison spent years as a camp counselor, where he discovered his calling to help others grow and heal. He values meeting clients where they are—both emotionally and physically—and believes in the power of shared experiences and activity-based support.

Known for his flexible and nonjudgmental approach, Addison brings warmth, curiosity, and a deep understanding of DBT to his work. When he’s not supporting clients, you can find him rock climbing or hanging out with his beloved snake, Agador.
