Alex Reid, MS
Alex (she/her) is a dedicated professional specializing in supporting children and young adults facing moderate to severe anxiety, OCD, and co-occurring challenges. With a strong background in psychology, she also partners with parents to empower them in fostering their children’s mental health and well-being.
Originally a Kinesiology major, Alex discovered her passion for psychology through sports psychology courses that captivated her interest. This shift in focus illuminated the critical lack of mental health resources for young people, inspiring her to pursue a career devoted to this underserved population.
Alex employs evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure Therapy. She integrates these methods with values-centered care, art, mindfulness, movement, exercise, and nutrition, offering a holistic and tailored approach to treatment. Her creativity, empathy, flexibility, and deep connection with clients set her apart in the field.
In addition to her expertise in anxiety and OCD, Alex is passionate about helping individuals overcome phobias, perfectionism, ADHD, and eating disorders. Her approach centers on building meaningful connections to understand each person’s unique experiences, ensuring they feel heard and supported. Alex’s goal is to guide families and individuals toward regaining a sense of control, confidence, and fulfillment in their lives.
Drawn to Wonder for its flexibility and creativity, Alex values meeting clients where they are and collaborating on innovative ways to deliver care. As a coach, she strives to empower families to envision their ideal lives and take achievable steps toward those goals, even if that vision is still forming.
In her free time, Alex enjoys cooking, traveling, staying active, exploring the outdoors, watching and playing sports, and expressing her creativity in various ways. She is passionate about helping others thrive and is excited to be part of their journeys toward greater well-being.
