Aure Santos, MSW
Aure (she/her) brings over a decade of experience supporting children, teens, parents, and families across clinical, educational, and community-based settings. She holds a Master’s in Social Work with a concentration in Gerontology–Long-Term Care & Policy and Regulation, as well as a Bachelor of Arts & Sciences in Psychology with double minors in Women’s Studies and Non-Profit Management.
Throughout her career, Aure has combined clinical expertise with a social-work lens to strengthen communication within families, build executive functioning skills, and empower young people through psychoeducation and advocacy. She has provided trauma-informed, bilingual therapy for adolescents and their families; facilitated empowerment workshops, grief-support groups, and retreats centered on mental health and family wellness; and has worked in hospital and community-based programs providing care management, crisis intervention, and advocacy for children and families navigating chronic health conditions, developmental disabilities, and systemic barriers.
Aure’s work with families is guided by a family-systems framework—supporting not only the child but the entire caregiving environment. She has delivered family therapy, conflict mediation, parent coaching, and 1-to-1 support for caregivers, helping parents understand developmental needs, co-regulate with their children, and implement home-based strategies that align with their child’s behavioral, emotional, and learning challenges. Her approach centers collaboration, reducing shame and blame, and equipping families with communication, problem-solving, and regulation skills they can sustain beyond the session.
Her clinical style is integrative and relational, drawing from DBT, CBT, ABA-informed strategies, mindfulness-based crisis de-escalation, narrative and grief-informed practice, and motivational coaching. She is especially passionate about supporting youth in foster care, youth with complex trauma or medical/developmental needs, and families working to rebuild trust, communication, and resilience. Fluent in English and Spanish, she is committed to bridging cultural gaps in care and delivering support that is accessible, affirming, and culturally responsive.
Grounded in empathy and a strengths-based perspective, Aure meets clients where they are—valuing their voice and honoring their pace and readiness. She believes every person has seeds of potential within them and finds deep fulfillment in helping those seeds bloom. Outside of her work, she enjoys reading, dancing, candle-making, practicing Tai Chi, and giving back to her community through volunteer work.
