Brandee Portwood, CLC, MS, MHC-LP

Brandee (she/her) holds a Master of Science in Education in Counseling, a Certificate of Advanced Study, and is a CCA Certified Life Coach. She brings experience from both private practice and state-contracted nonprofit settings, providing care through in-person and virtual sessions. While these environments differed in structure, her purpose remained the same: to offer thoughtful, individualized support to clients and families through collaborative, client-centered care.

Brandee’s work is deeply rooted in family systems and multidisciplinary collaboration. She values working with individuals within the context of their family and broader support networks, believing that meaningful progress happens when care is coordinated and holistic. Her clinical approach integrates evidence-based and experiential modalities, including CBT, ACT, DBT, EFT (tapping), play therapy, and family systems therapy, allowing her to tailor support to each client’s unique needs.

Her clinical interests include supporting parents with skill development and behavior management, helping families break generational patterns, creating individualized action plans, strengthening emotional regulation and connection, and building sustainable systems of support. Known for her persistence, clear communication, patience, and problem-solving skills, Brandee is a collaborative team player who brings warmth and intention to her work with families.

Outside of her professional life, Brandee is a mother of two daughters, a beginner gym enthusiast, and a lover of plants, nature, and the arts. She believes creativity and self-expression are powerful tools for connection and healing. Having navigated her own personal and parenting challenges, Brandee brings humility and authenticity to her work, embracing struggle as a space for growth, learning, and discovery.
