Brittany Lewis, MSW
Brittany (she/her) holds a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. She brings experience supporting teens and young adults across clinical, school-based, and community settings, with a consistent focus on family systems and caregiver partnership. Brittany currently serves as a Day Program Coordinator in an adolescent partial hospitalization program, where she leads an eight-week DBT-based program providing daily skills coaching, supportive counseling, behavior management, and group facilitation. In this role, she collaborates closely with families, schools, and outpatient providers to support treatment planning, psychoeducation, and coordinated transitions of care. Her previous work includes roles as a Mental Health Case Manager on a youth ACT team, a Counseling Specialist in school-based settings, and a Trauma Therapist supporting adolescents and young adults impacted by acute and complex trauma.
Brittany was drawn to the mental health field through her academic background, which highlighted how vulnerable communities have historically been misrepresented and underserved across systems. This foundation shaped her commitment to advocacy, equity, and empowering individuals and families to access compassionate, culturally responsive care. She approaches her work with a strong belief in meeting clients where they are and supporting meaningful, sustainable change within the contexts of their everyday lives and communities.
Her clinical approach is integrative and holistic, grounded in family systems theory, empowerment theory, and a strengths-based lens. Brittany regularly incorporates motivational interviewing to support insight, autonomy, and readiness for change, and draws from trauma-informed care to foster safety, trust, and collaboration. She also integrates DBT and CBT to support skill development in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and cognitive restructuring. Throughout her work, Brittany prioritizes cultural humility and responsiveness, honoring each client’s lived experience, values, and family context.
Brittany was drawn to Wonder’s mission of providing flexible, holistic, community-based support for young people and families. As an individual coach, she brings a relational, engaging style, often incorporating play and creative arts to make skill-building accessible and meaningful. She is especially passionate about supporting adolescents and young adults navigating emotional dysregulation, trauma, identity development, and life transitions, and believes that helping clients build mastery and positive experiences is a powerful pathway to confidence and growth. Outside of her professional work, Brittany values close family connection and enjoys creative, hands-on hobbies, games, and time with animals—bringing curiosity, warmth, and a grounded presence into the work she does with clients and families.
