Debra Patterson, MS

Debra (she/her) holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with an emphasis on Human Performance and a Master’s Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. She is also certified with a 200-hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Certification. Debra has spent nearly a decade in child welfare, working across various roles, including intake, ongoing, preventative services, and adoptions. Additionally, she brings over six years of experience as a behavioral health coach, directly supporting children, youth, and families.

For the past three years, Debra has focused on pediatric behavioral health, working one-on-one with children and teens and facilitating parent management training. Her natural curiosity about human behavior and passion for helping others is the driving force behind her work. Debra is dedicated to supporting families holistically, recognizing that true change happens when every part of the family system is supported. She embraces out-of-the-box approaches, advocating for somatic practices and mindfulness to help integrate learning and growth.

As a parent of a neuro-divergent teen, Debra deeply understands the challenges that come with parenting and offers empathy and compassion to families navigating similar experiences. Her background in psychology and yoga allows her to incorporate mindfulness and awareness into her work, using a blend of Motivational Interviewing (MI) skills, along with CBT and DBT practices.

Debra believes that listening and providing thoughtful observations are key to helping others tap into their strength and resilience. In her personal life, she enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, paddleboarding, and horseback riding, often involving her daughter in these adventures. Rooted in compassion, Debra considers it an honor to be a part of each family’s journey toward growth and healing.
