Hana Mukadam, MSW

Hana is a compassionate and strengths-based clinician who is passionate about supporting adolescents, teenagers, and their families through life’s challenges and transitions. With experience as a school social worker in middle and high school settings, she has provided individual and group counseling, developed social-emotional learning curriculum, responded to student mental health crises, and collaborated closely with multidisciplinary teams to strengthen relationships between students, families, and schools. She believes in creating a safe, supportive environment where young people feel understood, empowered, and encouraged to be their authentic selves.

Hana earned both her Master of Social Work degree and Pupil Personnel Services Credential from California State University Long Beach, as well as earning her Bachelor of Arts degrees in Child Development and Family Life Education from the university. She also holds a Youth Mental Health First Aid Certification through the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. Inspired by her own experiences growing up, Hana has always wanted to become the trusted adult and mental health professional she wished she had as an adolescent, helping young people build hope, confidence, and resilience during formative years in their lives.

Drawn to Wonder’s family systems and experiential approach, Hana believes meaningful growth happens when individuals are supported within the context of their relationships and lived experiences. Her clinical approach is rooted in cultural humility, empowerment, and collaboration, recognizing that every client brings unique strengths and perspectives into the therapeutic space. She utilizes strengths-based interventions, motivational interviewing, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills such as mindfulness, emotional regulation, and radical acceptance to support clients through emotional and interpersonal challenges.

Outside of her clinical work, Hana is passionate about social justice and advocacy for women, the LGBTQ+ community, and Southeast and South Asian immigrant communities. She enjoys listening to music, trying new restaurants and cafés, taking photos with her film camera, playing Sonic the Hedgehog video games, watching NBA and WNBA basketball, and taking her dogs on adventures. A proud Angeleno, Hana was born and raised in the South Bay of Los Angeles County and currently lives in Koreatown with her partner and their dogs.
