Hana Young, BS, PhD Candidate
Hana (she/her) is a dedicated and compassionate mental health professional currently pursuing her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Suffolk University. She brings a strong foundation in adolescent mental health, having earned her BS in Psychology from Union College in 2022 and completed a two-year Post-Baccalaureate Child and Adolescent Clinical Fellowship at McLean Hospital and Harvard Medical School. During her time at McLean’s 3East Adolescent Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Residential Program, Hana worked closely with teens and young adults navigating emotion regulation, suicidality, and complex clinical diagnoses. Through group facilitation, 1:1 coaching, and intensive supervision, she developed a deep commitment to building authentic relationships and creating safe, supportive spaces for healing.
Currently, Hana leads virtual DBT skills groups and offers individual coaching for adolescents and parents through TheraHive. She is especially passionate about supporting teens from underrepresented backgrounds, including BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities, and brings a thoughtful, relational approach to working with families. She believes that a strong support system is essential to successful treatment and is drawn to Wonder’s holistic model that engages both individuals and their families.
Hana’s clinical style is grounded in DBT, CBT, and mindfulness. She is known for her empathetic, adaptable, and non-judgmental presence—and her lighthearted sense of humor helps bring warmth and joy into her work. She supports clients in navigating peer relationships, managing school and social anxieties, building self-esteem, and finding confidence in who they are.
Outside of her work, Hana is an avid runner who loves exploring new places on foot. She’s always on the hunt for the best chai latte, enjoys going to concerts and discovering new music, and treasures time with her family, friends, and her two beloved cats.
