Hosea Rogers III, PsyD
Hosea (he/him/his) holds a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology and brings a deep passion for working with teens, emerging adults, and families. Through his work in university counseling centers at Georgia State University and California State University, Sacramento, he supported young adults navigating identity, relationships, and family dynamics during pivotal life transitions. In private practice, he has also worked closely with teens and parents, helping families strengthen communication, connection, and mutual understanding. Hosea brings genuine energy, relational warmth, and care into every space he holds with clients and families.
Hosea’s path into mental health was shaped by his own lived experiences. Growing up, he longed for a supportive, non-judgmental space to explore identity and make sense of life’s challenges, and that absence became a powerful motivator for his work today. At the heart of his approach is a desire to be the steady, affirming presence he once needed—supporting teens and young adults as they find their voice, build resilience, and learn they do not have to navigate challenges alone.
Grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Hosea integrates structured, skills-based interventions with a relational and identity-affirmative lens. His integrative approach allows therapy to be both practical and deeply human—honoring clients’ lived experiences, relationships, and identities while offering concrete tools to support emotional regulation, insight, and meaningful change. He is especially passionate about working with adjustment concerns, anxiety and mood disorders, trauma, relational and family conflict, and identity development and exploration.
Drawn to Wonder’s mission of meeting teens where they are, Hosea values blending mentorship with therapeutic support in ways that feel accessible, creative, and authentic. As an individual coach, he engages young people through what already matters to them—their interests, hobbies, and passions—using those shared spaces to build trust and open the door to deeper conversations about emotions, identity, and life challenges. As a parent coach, he often serves as a bridge between parents and their children, helping families strengthen communication, reduce conflict, and build more connected, trusting relationships through a family systems lens.
Outside of work, Hosea is deeply family-oriented and enjoys spending time with his dog, Nyla, and his four-year-old niece. He’s a fan of psychological thrillers, enjoys gaming (especially The Sims), and finds music—hip hop, R&B, pop, and dance—to be a grounding and energizing part of his life. Families can expect Hosea to show up with care, consistency, and respect for both parents and young people, creating spaces where everyone feels heard, valued, and supported in meaningful growth.
