Isabella Ekeze, LPCC
Isabella is a compassionate and thoughtful clinician who specializes in supporting teens, young adults, and families through a relational and somatic lens. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a concentration in Somatic Counseling and Body Psychotherapy, and has completed additional training in trauma-sensitive mindfulness, Synergetic Play Therapy®, mindful communication, yoga, and sex education. Outside of Wonder, Isabella works in private practice providing individual therapy and advocacy, helping clients feel more connected to themselves and supported in their growth.
Isabella’s path into the mental health field was shaped by a deep curiosity about human emotion and lived experience. Originally pursuing a creative path in fashion, she found herself drawn instead to understanding how people make meaning of their inner worlds. Personal experiences with grief and self-discovery during her teenage years further deepened her empathy and shaped her commitment to creating spaces where individuals can explore their emotions with honesty, curiosity, and compassion. She is especially passionate about walking alongside young people as they navigate identity, belonging, and the complexity of growing up.
Her approach is warm, open, and deeply person-centered, integrating somatic practices, attachment theory, parts work, and mindfulness. Isabella helps clients slow down and build awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and bodily experiences, supporting them in developing self-trust and a stronger connection to their inner voice. She values authenticity in the therapeutic relationship, embracing curiosity, presence, and even uncertainty as meaningful parts of the process. Her work often focuses on themes such as self-worth, identity development, emotional expression, people-pleasing, perfectionism, and navigating family dynamics.
Isabella is deeply aligned with Wonder’s flexible, relational approach, recognizing that growth happens within the context of relationships and that teens benefit from having a voice in their own process. She is committed to helping young people feel seen, understood, and empowered, while also supporting families in building stronger, more connected relationships. Outside of her professional work, Isabella enjoys traveling, thrifting, and designing interior spaces with secondhand finds. She loves writing, spending time in nature, and staying active through hiking, workouts, and walks. A self-proclaimed plant lover and avid reader, she finds inspiration in storytelling, creativity, and the quiet moments that invite reflection.
