Liz Anthony, MA, PsyD Candidate
Liz (she/her) is a therapist and Psy.D. candidate with a Master’s in Clinical Psychology. She brings a deeply compassionate, grounded presence to her work and is known for being approachable, intuitive, and refreshingly direct. Liz currently provides therapy for adults—including young adults—and conducts psychological assessments with children. Her clinical style is warm, honest, and creative, and she’s passionate about building genuine connections that help clients feel seen, supported, and empowered.
Liz has experience facilitating group therapy for young adults in recovery from substance use, often exploring complex themes like family dynamics, boundary-setting, codependency, and communication challenges. Her doctoral research focuses on how caregivers in recovery talk to their children about addiction—work that has further deepened her insight into intergenerational trauma and family systems.
She draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, and Humanistic and Family Systems approaches. Liz leads with curiosity and compassion, creating a space where therapy feels approachable—even if it starts out feeling unfamiliar or uncomfortable. She is especially passionate about supporting young people navigating anxiety, identity, trauma, relationship challenges, bullying, and LGBTQIA+ and women’s issues.
Drawn to Wonder’s out-of-the-box approach, Liz values the opportunity to meet clients in real-life spaces and contexts, outside the traditional therapy room. Her goal is to help young people build resilience, self-awareness, and a stronger sense of who they are—at their own pace and in their own way.
Liz lives in Denver with her partner and two rescue cats, Mango and Kiwi, whose big personalities keep things lively. Outside of work, she prioritizes movement, joy, and connection—whether that’s playing tennis, skiing, surfing, journaling, reading, or walking while listening to podcasts. She also really loves food and is grateful to enjoy it all, restriction-free. Liz believes in showing up fully, being real, and holding space for the full spectrum of human experience.
