Olu Mabinuori, LMSW

Olu (She/Her) is a Licensed Social Worker who earned a Master of Social Work from Columbia University. With more than seven years of experience providing individual, family, and group therapy, Olu has dedicated her career to supporting adolescents, young adults, and families as they navigate life's challenges and strengthen their relationships.

Throughout her career, Olu has worked across community mental health, telehealth, and family-centered programs, helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and family conflict. Most recently, she served as a Family Therapist with Rising Ground's ATLAS Program, where she utilized Functional Family Therapy to help families build healthier communication patterns and create lasting, meaningful change. She also brings experience working with children on the autism spectrum through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), giving her a well-rounded understanding of how to support individuals across a variety of developmental and emotional needs.

Olu's approach is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. She draws from evidence-based modalities including Functional Family Therapy (FFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, attachment-based interventions, trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, she tailors her work to each client's unique strengths, goals, and lived experiences.

She is especially passionate about helping adolescents, emerging adults, and families who may feel misunderstood or disconnected. Olu believes meaningful healing begins when people feel genuinely seen, heard, and respected, and she works alongside clients to build confidence, strengthen relationships, and create sustainable change that extends beyond the therapy room.

Drawn to Wonder's holistic, community-based model, Olu values meeting clients where they are—both emotionally and physically—and believes that some of the most meaningful growth happens within the context of everyday life. She is committed to creating authentic relationships that empower young people and families to thrive together.

Outside of work, Olu enjoys staying active through soccer and biking, expressing her creativity through sewing, crocheting, cooking, and fashion, and exploring new cultures through travel. She has visited more than 15 countries, enjoys learning new languages, and is currently improving her Spanish. She also volunteers regularly in her community and loves spending time with her cat, Frenchie.
