Victor Castillo, MSW
Victor is a dedicated social worker with extensive experience providing counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support to students and families. His work as a School Social Worker has centered on emotional regulation, strengthening home–school connections, and fostering collaborative partnerships with caregivers and educators. He is committed to helping young people build resilience by developing individualized strategies that support both their emotional and academic well-being.
Victor was inspired to pursue this work after witnessing the transformative power of emotional support and the profound impact it can have on a young person’s growth. Having seen how meaningful guidance can shift the trajectory of a life, he felt called to be part of that change. Wonder’s holistic, relational, and coaching-based model deeply resonates with his belief that mental health care should be empowering, proactive, and rooted in connection.
In his practice, Victor incorporates psychoeducation and mindfulness-based approaches to help clients cultivate self-awareness and emotional regulation. He focuses on developing practical tools for coping, reflection, and goal-setting, empowering individuals to better understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors through a strengths-focused and educational lens.
Victor leads with empathy, authenticity, and a calming presence. His ability to listen deeply and meet clients exactly where they are allows him to create safe, nonjudgmental spaces for healing and progress. He specializes in supporting youth and young adults navigating stress, identity development, emotional regulation, and communication challenges. His work centers on helping individuals rediscover their sense of purpose, build confidence, and strengthen their problem-solving skills.
Drawing on his school-based and clinical experience, Victor supports clients in building accountability, emotional insight, and long-term resilience. His goal is to empower lasting change through collaborative, compassionate guidance.
Outside of his work with families, Victor enjoys creative expression through art and music, mentoring youth in his community, and engaging in mindfulness practices that keep him grounded and inspired.
At the core of Victor’s approach is his belief that every young person deserves to be met with patience, understanding, and respect. He creates space for individuals and families to feel seen, supported, and encouraged as they move toward growth and balance.
