William Walton, MA
William (he/him/his) is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Illinois and a Registered Drama Therapist through The North American Drama Therapy Association.
Through his 6 years of direct clinical work with various diverse cultural and socioeconomic communities, he has witnessed the power which creative arts modalities have to help facilitate the dynamic integration between mind, heart, body, and spirit. Meeting people where they are in the present moment, he strives to collaborate with them on building a therapeutic alliance in which empowerment, healing, and growth take center stage.
William utilizes a combination of evidenced based creative arts approaches, as well as tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Exposure and Response Prevention. He has worked with clients ranging across the life spectrum from ages 5 to 98 and specializes in working with clients struggling with trauma, anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, and substance use disorders.
In his free time, William enjoys exercising, cooking, working with ceramics, playing video games, and traveling.
